Marathoners can hit the ground running with reserved SF Marathon parking spaces
GottaPark is excited to announce our new status as parking reservations provider for the Wipro San Francisco Marathon! The race kicks off at 5:45am on Sunday, June 16th, and is preceded by the always popular Runner Expo on Friday and Saturday. SF Marathon parking is sure to be an important issue, since 125,000 people are expected to attend this year.
The first San Francisco Marathon was held in 1977, and the race has gone through many changes since then. These days, the organizers are building each year’s race from the ground up, focusing on providng a great experience for each participant, rather than on attracting sponsorship money.
The result is one of the most beautiful and challenging marathon courses in the world. Runners will start and finish along the waterfront in front of the Ferry Building, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, weaving through Golden Gate Park, and passing countless San Francisco landmarks along the way. With the all of the city’s famously steep hills, participants should expect both captivating vistas and challenging climbs.
With GottaPark, spectators and runners can reserve SF Marathon parking ahead of time so that on race day, nobody has to worry about where to park the car. With an estimated 25,000 racers and 100,000 cheering fans expected to hit the streets of San Francisco, parking a car is sure to be a hassle on the day of the event. Fuji Electric Corporation of America recently announced the production of their new, slim and efficient EV (electrice vehicle) Chargers. The cutting-edge DC Quick Chargers enable electric cars to “refuel” to full capacity in just under an hour. It’s great news in that America is making the move to be green, alleviating some of the significant carbon foot prints we leave behind.
“By using our core technology in the design of our EV charging stations, we were able to leverage our power electronics expertise to guarantee the product will meet Fuji Electric’s quality standards,” said Phil Charatz, President and CEO of Fuji Electric America. “Bringing production to the U.S. is an important milestone for us, and it reinforces our commitment to the EV industry for many years to come.”
Very cool as EV Charging stations are popping up everywhere. Expect to start seeing the DC Quick Charger in “green” cities around the U.S. as they’re currently rolling off the production lot in Milpitas, California.

Reserve your Parking this Friday
Baseball fans are shrugging off the cold as the season heats up quickly. This Friday the defending world champion San Francisco Giants play the St. Louis Cardinals at AT&T Park. This promises to be a heated game as the two teams battled it out in the NLCS last year, with the Giants barely beating out the Cardinals 4-3 in the series. If you’re headed out to the game this Friday, make sure to reserve your parking with GottaPark.
Watch this amazing parallel park record be broken not once, but twice by two brothers in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Allister brothers are able to parallel park within 13.1cm of space (barely over 5 inches). This beats out the current 14cm record!
Reserve your Parking for Knicks VS. Celtics – TD Gardens
The Knicks take on the Celtics at TD Garden tomorrow night in what looks to be an exciting game. The Celtics have had a rough season without Rajon Rondo who was injured against the Miami Heat in January. They remain a contender in the Eastern Conference despite Rondo’s ACL injury. Meanwhile the Knicks are on a 4 game winning streak and prove a challenge for Boston, even on their home turf. If you’re heading to see them Tuesday night be sure to reserve your parking now with GottaPark. We make parking easy so you can enjoy the game.
Happy St. Patty’s to everyone! It’s a big weekend everywhere and if you’re in San Francisco, also watch out for The World Baseball Classic Finals that start on Sunday. We’re offering some good parking at AT&T Park, so make sure to check out GottaPark before heading to the game. Cheers!
